   NOW I SURRENDER

Now I surrender and dedicate into your hands, O Lord, all the problems and strains of my life (1)

I realise that all victory and defeat can be had only from your hands (2))

My sole resolve is to reach Thee. (3)

I surrender all my love unto Thee (4)

If I have to live in the world, let it be (without attachment) like a lotus flower in water (which is untouched by the water) (5)

I submit all my merits and demerits unto Thee (6)

If I should ever be reborn as a human being, let me remain as one who worships at your lotus feet (7)

I hand over all my responsibilities to Thee (8)

Whenever I am enslaved in this world, let me work for your cause without desiring any fruit of the results. (9)

At the end of my life’s joumey may I merge unto Thee. (10)

The fundamental difference between you and me, O Lord, is that while I am human, you are the master of all humans (11)

I am in the hands of the world whereas the world rests in your hand (12)
